🏆 The Pentagon International Arts Battle
The Pentagon International Arts Battle features three competitions in each artistic discipline, giving participants the opportunity to measure their skills and talent against one another.
📋 First Competition: “THE BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPES OF OUR HOMELAND”
Announcement date: 28 May 2026
This title should present no difficulty for participants arriving from any country. The guiding principle behind the choice of theme is directly tied to the core mission of the international arts programme:
“We ask participants to present the landmarks and natural treasures of their own homeland – inspiring wanderlust in travellers and kindling passion in art lovers alike.”

International competitors are planned to join the pre-selection programme by the end of June 2026.
Every country receives the same competition titles and is assessed under the same judging criteria as Hungarian competitors.
🎯 Judging & Qualification
- The jury evaluates each entry on a scale of 0 to 10 points.
- In the event of a tie, the artists concerned will compete in a short deciding round.
- All three competitions are evaluated; the entry achieving the best overall result qualifies the participant for the Pentagon International Arts Olympic Programme.
- The top 3 to 5 competitors will be invited to take part in the Arts Olympics.
🎖️ Awards & Prizes
- Every participant receives a reward.
- The winners of the Arts Olympics (the top 5 finalists) will receive an official DIPLOMA.
- Full details of the prizes will be announced here on our website throughout the programme.
- All submitted works will be presented at a dedicated exhibition.
- A commemorative book will be published featuring the competition entries.
🖼️ Submission Requirements by Discipline
Fine Arts
Maximum size of artwork: 50 × 70 cm
Literature
Poetry:
- Maximum 6 stanzas
- Each stanza may consist of 4, 5, or 6 lines
- The form and style of verse are freely chosen
- Entries may also be submitted as a set-to-music or performed piece
Prose (in one of the following genres):
- Fairy tale / short story
- Humorous story
Formatting requirements:
- 2 pages of A4 size
- Font size: 12 pt
- Margins: approx. 1.5 cm
Dance & Music
The competition rules for these disciplines will be announced at a later date.
